Palermo, for its urban structure of Arab origin, full of narrow streets and alleys, is particularly suited to a nice walking. If you prefer to do a tour by car as well, we can propose a personalized tour according your preference.

The Cape and Beati Paoli Tour is inspired by what is the story of these friars (Beati Paoli), Friars at days, and secret society at night, big source of many stories mixed with legends, that have always fueled the collective imagination of Palermo.

We begin our visit from Roger VII street, stop in Piazza G. Verdi to know the story and legend of Massimo Theatre (visit of exterior only).
We go on walking towards the Porta Carini, entrance to Capo market, representing today the largest and most active open air market for fish, meat, fruits and vegetables. Inside the market we will visit beautiful monument, palazzos and baroque churches. We reach the cave where the Beati Paoli met, in the homonymous square.We will retrace the history of the Beati Paoli who had in this place the seat of their clandestine nocturnal meetings. Continuing along the alleys and streets of the Arab neighbourhoods, we arrive to the beautiful church of Saint Ignatius of Olivella*. Tour of the Church which is one of the most luxurious Baroque monuments of Palermo. At this time, from a very beautiful terrace on the penthouse of a historical Palazzo, we will have a wonderful and unforgettable view of historical Palermo roofs till the port and sea. The second part of the tour is concentrated around the ”Cultural tour of La Loggia”, that concerns Piazza San Domenico** (Saint Dominic Square), visit of Saint Dominic Church*, the Church of St.Cita with the annexed Oratorio, the Oratory of SS Rosary, two true jewels of the Sicilian baroque, especially on what concerns the magistral work of the architect, master in the stucco art, Giacomo Serpotta, XVIII cent. To visit Palermo means to visit its outdoor oldest market Vucciria, immortalized in the famous picture by our sicilian painter Renato Guttuso, XXI cent. Vucciria open air market in Palermo. We go on to visit the ancient port of Palermo, called ”La Cala”, focal place of several battles among the many populations that have dominated in the city, and we visit the old area around it. S. Domenico church.

At Lunch time we arrive at our beautiful location to enjoy a rich typical sicilian meal prepared only for you by our Chef Donna Patricia: panelle, sfincione, anelletti al forno, caponata, with a good Sicilian wine or other beverage of your choice. We will conclude with zibibbo wine, Sicilian almond biscuits, cassatelle of ricotta cheese and coffee mocha espresso. After Lunch we will come with you till Saint Dominic Square.
