Meet the guide at your hotel. Our itinerary will start in Trastevere district from Piazza dei Mercanti, the most traditional area of the city. Walking through the old area between churches and historical building we will cross the city river, Tevere, above the old Roman bridges on Tiberine Island. The tour will continue inside the Ghetto, Jewish original area; from the Synagogue to the Cinque Scole, from the Porticus Octaviae to the turtles in Mattei Square, a walk in the history and the memory, to find out curious facts and legends about Rome’s ancient Jewish quarter. The itinerary will be completed with a visit to one of the most important monuments of the ancient history of Rome, the Theatre of Marcellus.
