Day 1 Florence and Pisa (approximately 53 miles) 

  • Pick up rental car at Florence Airpot
  • Overnight at hotel in Pisa

 

Day 2 Lucca & Pisa (approximately 25 miles) 

  • Departure to Lucca: Apuan Alps as landscape, the ochre colored houses of Piazza dell’Anfiteatro and continue to Pisa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see the cathedral and the doors to the biblical scenes, the Baptistery to the astonishing acoustics. Check out the leaning Tower.
  • Overnight at hotel in Pisa

 

Day 3 Pisa, San Gimignano & Siena (approximately 78 miles)

  • Pass by Larito visit an artisanal pasta maker, Martelli. Two-wheeled lovers will visit the Piaggio de Pontedera museum to learn everything about the famous Vespa.  Next stop San Gimignano,
  • a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and take a stroll around the village.

Day 4 Siena 

  • Discover Siena and the cathedral built in black and white stones; the Palazzo Pubblico of Gothic style, and Piazza del Campo where the Palio race is held.

Day 5 Montalcino, Pienza, Crete Senesi (approximately 93 miles) 

  • Head toward Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, see the landscapes of cypresses, olive trees, chestnut trees and vineyards. On the way see the Abbey of Sant ‘Antimo. In Montalcino taste in moderation the Brunello wine. Continue to Pienza and its piazza Pio II built in the Renaissance style.
  • Through the landscapes of Crete Senesi back to Siena.

Day 6 Siena, Chianti, Florence (approximately 47 miles)

  • Drive to Chianti renowned for its wines and hilly countryside dotted with olive trees, vineyards, churches, farms and castles.
  • Discover Tuscan cuisine with lunch included.
  • What does this mean?Continue to Florence. Restitution of your vehicle Start your discovery of the city of Medici, a UNESCO World Heritage Site,
  • Relax in the garden of Boboli or the garden of Bardini.  Check out Piazzale Michelangelo for its view of the city.

 Day 7 Florence 

  • Admire the Ponte Vecchio which goes across the Arno River.
  • Visit the famous Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral for its cupola, climb to Giotto’s campanile or admire the gate of Paradise to the Baptistery of San Giovanni.
  • In the afternoon, visit the Uffizi Gallery museum, go to via of Tornabuoni, the greatest Italian stylists.
  • Enjoy a hot chocolate at Rivoirecoffee shop in Piazza della Signoria.
  • Overnight at hotel in Florence

 

Day 8 Florence Airport 

  • Return the rental car to Florence Airport
  • Depart from Florence Airport
